Art Fair Asia Fukuoka 2023 begins later this afternoon, starting with a VIP preview, and continues throughout the weekend, from Friday, September 22 until Sunday, September 24We are exhibiting at booth A05, and participating with us in our Japan exhibition debut are Anisa Abdullah (MY), Dedy Sufriadi (ID), DRIN (PH), Mnookin (TW), Sarcita (ID), Syahbandi Samat (MY), and Taufik Ermas (ID). Artemis Art, in collaboration with Tosee Art (@tosee_art_michael), is pleased to announce the opening of Island To Island, an art project that brings together artists from four island countries/territories. Designed as a series of exhibitions, participating in this inaugural showcase will be artists from Indonesia, Penang (Malaysia), the Philippines, and Taiwan.Participating artists in the inaugural exhibition are:Dennis BATO (@dennisbato) (PH)Esther GEH (@gehesther) (MY)Bei-Chen SHIAU (TW)Dedy SUFRIADI (@dedysufriadi) (ID)The exhibition opens today, 17 September 2023 at 1:30 pm, at Too Art Space, 13F 579 Chongde Road Sec. 1, Taichung, Taiwan. SELAMAT HARI MALAYSIA ke 60!10 years ago, to commemorate 50 years of Malaysia's formation, Artemis Art embarked on an exhibition and book project entitled "50 Shades of Malaysia", featuring 50 artworks from 48 young and emerging Malaysian artists, many of whom are still very much active in the art sceneThe exhibition, comprising all 50 works, was installed at Level G2 of Publika, KL during the 2013 Merdeka & Hari Malaysia celebration fortnight, with support from Balai Seni Negara and UEM/Publika, part of the larger M50 exhibition programming at the mallThe book (see last image), published in conjunction with the project, is still available for purchase for anyone interested. It costs RM 50 per copy, including postage/delivery anywhere in Malaysia. DM us if you're interested in obtaining a copy.Malaysia turns 60 today, and while a whole decade has passed since 2013, this project remains one of Artemis Art's important endeavors undertaken as a gallery.
