Indonesian artist Didi Kasi’s works are a celebration of ordinary daily life, as seen through the artist’s eyes. This artwork is a whimsical depiction of three individual ironing clothes (baju in Bahasa Indonesia) in a communal manner. In more traditional societies, it is not uncommon for household chores to be done communally, giving the opportunity for the participants to share stories, and yes, to sometimes gossip as well.
